Overview
The Health Support Project by AHEAD Foundation is a community-centered initiative aimed at improving access to basic healthcare services for underprivileged populations, especially in rural and marginalized areas. We believe health is a human right, not a privilege — and our mission is to bring affordable, accessible, and compassionate healthcare to those who need it most.
Objectives
- Provide free or subsidized health services to low-income communities
- Organize regular medical camps, including general checkups, dental, eye, and women’s health
- Raise awareness about hygiene, nutrition, and disease prevention
- Offer emergency medical aid for vulnerable families
- Facilitate referrals and follow-up care through partner hospitals and clinics
Key Activities
- General Health Camps:
Monthly check-up camps offering services like BP/sugar tests, fever treatment, minor ailments, etc. - Specialized Camps:
- Eye camps with free vision testing, spectacles, and cataract referrals
- Dental check-ups with free consultations and hygiene education
- Women’s wellness camps for gynecological care and menstrual health awareness
- Mobile Health Clinics:
Mobile units that reach remote areas with doctors, nurses, and basic medicine. - Health Awareness Drives:
Workshops and campaigns on preventive health, nutrition, cleanliness, and first-aid. - Medical Aid Support:
Emergency support (medicines, diagnostic tests, surgeries) for families in financial distress.
